Did someone say bacon?

I'm so excited to join the Hambo Design Team for a second term.  What fun images.  I'm excited to work with some old friends and make some new with this design team.

I am an avid crafter and can't remember a time in my life that I wasn't working on some sort of project.  Over the years I've tried my hand at many crafts with the exception of knitting.  Then, I discovered stamping...

I hosted a home party that a friend was having determined to just watch and content not to purchase anything.  Ten years later I'm still at it, thanks to a friend telling me about an online stamping community that I would later come to love.  I consider myself a hobby stamper and challenge junkie.  I espeically enjoy sketch challenges and techniques that push me out of my comfort zone.  I love using my aquapainter and reinkers as well as PrismaColor pencils for coloring line art images.

I was instantly drawn to Hambo's humorous images and witty sentiments.  I'm thrilled to return to the Hambo design team for a second term. Hold on to your hat because the next 4 months will zoom by. Be sure to check back often over the next 4 months to see the new digital images by Timbo and join us each Wednesday for the Hambo Hoedown Challenge.  Check out Hambo's blog, Talk to the Ham, to meet the other Bacon Bits.

See ya around the barnyard!

You've Got {heart} Mail...

..just another Target Dollar Spot mailbox. Love these for Valentines..

I know.  We see these cute little boxes every year.  You really can't go wrong for a $1. They are so easy to alter... and perfect when you need a little something fast.

To decorate the box simply cut a piece of designer paper measuring 4x12 and adhere with sticky tape.  Decorate the front and back with what you like, add embellishments and fill with a yummy treat or gift card or both.  Perfect for your sweetheart or a Valentine for your child's teacher.

ps.  Our Target had these mailboxes in pink, red, and white this year - woot!

HEART BASKET...

I made this card for this month's Fan Club design inspiration challenge over on SCS. Here is the inspiration piece.  I especially love the gingham.  In case you didn't know, gingham anything is my fave.  I would use black & white gingham ribbon on every project if I could.  I love it that much!

A couple of days ago, I printed out this Heart Basket digital stamp by Hambo.  Excited that February and all things red, pink and white are just around the corner. Valentine's Day is one of those holidays that usually creeps up on me.  Hopefully this year I'll be ahead of the game in making all of the Valentines for my children's classmates and teachers as well as my own students.  It is especially nice to have the ability to buy a digital image when you are pinched for time.  I'll have few more projects to share in the coming weeks.

I used my aquapainter and inks to color the image, then added some stickles around the edge of each heart.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Verve Scripture Tags...

I used several Plain Jane scripture verse stamps to create this tag. I was inspired by Maureen's scripture tag album. Be sure to check out her awesome blog:  Buttons & Bling.

We are going to be making these at our next Women's Ministry Craft night.

I used various K&Company tag pads for the bases to cut down on prep time.

Thanks for looking!

A man's heart...

I combined this week's MOJO Sketch with today's Technique Lover's Challenge. I loved looking back through all of last year's challenges. I picked the lattice technique originally hosted by Joan Ervin. I love how this challenge turned out.

I do hate it when my charms want to hang all crooked when I'm trying to take a picture. dag-blasted! But, on a positive note, I used some new Verve!! Woot!

Thanks for looking...
